Operational Insight.

Clear Direction.

Lasting Accountability.

Principal Advisory Group provides dealership ownership with a top-down operational analysis of the entire business—not simply a review of what the reports suggest. We examine how departments, processes, management practices, financial controls, and accountability work together to determine what is actually happening inside the operation and where performance and profit are being left behind.

Our analysis is paired with the added layer of senior, specialized management oversight commonly found in large dealer groups. Drawing on expertise across sales, fixed operations, accounting and financial controls, F&I, and used vehicles, we establish measurable priorities, build a clear roadmap, and remain involved through implementation to strengthen leadership and accountability.

What We Examine

Sales

Lead handling, customer follow-up, manager involvement, desking, unsold opportunities, coaching, and whether established sales processes are being consistently followed and managed.

Service & Parts

Workflow, technician productivity, advisor performance, customer engagement, MPI utilization and follow-up, labor and parts performance, customer-pay opportunities, and the processes used to identify opportunities, present recommendations, and ask for the business.

Accounting & Financial Controls

Collection of receivables, contracts in transit, rebates, incentives and credits; reconciliation of accounts and schedules; and processes and reporting needed to identify money owed to the dealership and ensure it is collected.

Used Vehicles

Acquisition and appraisal practices, inventory mix, aging, pricing and merchandising, turn, and whether management is taking timely action to protect inventory value and profitability.

F&I

Menu presentation, product performance, lender utilization, compliance, chargebacks, and whether every opportunity is being presented, managed, and followed through on.

Management & Accountability

Leadership routines, departmental expectations, reporting, follow-up, and ownership visibility—ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined, performance is consistently measured, and ownership has the information needed to hold management accountable.
